"Der Blaue Reiter" is both a short but important pre-WWI period in modern art, as well as the title of the legendary almanac published in 1912 by Wassily Kandinsky (1866–1944) and Franz Marc (1880–1916). It brought together texts and pictures from different like-minded artists; this is an exhibition of their art and a copy of the almanac to document a new beginning in visual arts and music for the 20th century.
